NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HINDS COUNTY pursuant to Miss. Code Ann. §§ 31-7-1, 33-15-1, 33-15-17 and other applicable authority, and in the public interest and for the general welfare of Hinds County, Mississippi, that it is hereby mandatory that members of the public located in the rural unincorporated areas of Hinds County above the age of two (2) years old shall wear a mask or facial covering in public to provide some protection against the transmission of the COVID-19 virus from the date of this Order on July 6, 2020 until such emergency is no longer in effect and proclaimed terminated by the Board of Supervisors of Hinds County, Mississippi.
