The Hinds County Department of Logistical Services is responsible for supply chain management and engineering. The department plans, implements, and controls the efficient, effective receipt, distribution, and warehousing of goods, services, and related items between the point of acquisition and consumption in accordance with Hinds County requirements. This involves the handling, transportation, and inventory (both consumable supple and asset management) of Hinds County materials.

Managed by the logistical services director, the department maintains a high quality of customer service to multiple Hinds County departments by the timely delivery of supplies and materials throughout the County, maintaining an organized warehouse, and supporting departmental inventory and accountability of Hinds County fixed assets. Logistical Services also manages the Hinds County Supply Room to provide consumable goods to Hinds County departments at the lowest cost to the County.
