General Information

The Mississippi Access & Visitation Program (MAV-P) is designed to improve the quality of life for separated families by providing noncustodial parents opportunities to participate in their children's growth and development. The program is a partnership between the Mississippi Department of Human Resources Division of Child Support Enforcement and the Hinds County Chancery Court. The Program Administrator performs individual case management and works closely with judges, attorneys, counselors, etc., who may refer parents to the program. The services include:

  • Mediation
  • Developing parenting plans
  • Counseling
  • Parent education
  • Neutral drop-off/pick-up
  • Supervised visitation
  • Visitation enforcement

In addition, the Program Administrator is active in developing and maintaining an active presence in the community to inform the public, social service agencies and organizations about the services offered to non-custodial parents.
