Hinds County, MS – Tuesday, October 27, 2015: The Hinds County Board of Supervisors has lifted the burn ban for Hinds County due to wide spread rainfall across the county over the past few days.

Hinds County is in the process of upgrading equipment to provide Next Generation 911 Services, including Text-to-911 to all dispatch centers in the county. Hinds County is the first in the State of Mississippi to provide this service.
