JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - State inmates will soon play a major role in cleaning up highways in the city of Jackson.
It comes as part of an agreement between the Department of Corrections, the Department of Transportation, and the city.
On Wednesday, there was a ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil the new project. Within the next five years Richard Bradley, who’s the president of Metro Booming, said he expects to have 28 hundred people trained through this academy.
The Hinds County Board of Supervisors will hold an emergency meeting Friday, September 22, 2023 at 3 p.m in the Hinds County Board Room.
